Charon's face IS shown not in shadow in the 3D model I know, so I went and found the actual art of it- He does seem to have a nose sorta but definitely zero lips lol. It's really good to see how the portrait art was translated into the models. It's really killed work.

day 5. getting noticeably better, watched hours of tutorials, speed sculpts, studied anatomy etc. i have a better understanding of where lips need to be relative to eyes and so on. might have to upgrade to blender 2.8 since it seems to have better tools than 2.79. im gonna try -

The reason I say this is because I have noticed that both in Dragon Ball FighterZ and DBZ Kakarot, there are examples of the normals breaking to some extent when the jaws are rotated, but the lips are always moved with location instead of rotation, and so, they look fine. (2/2).
