I made some additions to the art, texture and elements that I found interesting to the composition. A series of multiple interpretations are present.

After that, it comes the moment the project becomes more alive: Texturing.

This is where Clip Studio Paint comes into play, since I used it to basically to paint my model of Balin...indirectly.

I still had to apply some node work in Blender for the textures to show up :T

After the base colors are laid down, I begin fleshing out some of the details, with the focus of finishing the background elements. At this stage, I look to get all of the major components realized and in place, and I begin rendering some of the larger textures and ornaments.

The effects textures for this one are... a mystery. Maybe one day I'll figure it out.

Still brainstorming with redesigning mumakil. This head design clearly and heavily leaning more toward an African Elephant whilst still retaining the off putting base of the trunk and forehead, and the swigly texture of the trunk all the way down...
