A less mainstream indie rep but Madeline from Celeste is really popular and from a game that's both really popular and been tied with nintendo since launch. Tbh I think the recent DLC has just really stuck her in my brain lol. PLUS, she would be the first confirmed lgbt rep!!!!!

I want phoenix wright, he’d be another awesome Capcom rep, and for those who think he’d make no sense, look at Marvel VS Capcom 3, he was a playable Fighter in that game, if they made it work, they could definitely make it work for smash bros.
