Schlatts dsmp character is so easy to draw because all the mistakes I usually run into are fixed by his design. Cant draw upper lips? Mans gotta mustache. I accidentally darken the nose too much? Give em a goat nose. Peak design

CORRECTION: The new image that I shared yesterday was mislabeled (by me) as a black drum (Pogonias cromis). It is in fact Pareques acuminatus, a high-hat (aka striped drum).
