Yeah, the old top-down view was a lot of fun. The restricted view really kept you on your toes with how quickly the corners would appear. The Amiga has so many good top-down (and 2.5D) racers of this ilk. Then you'd get ones like SuperCars that would add in weapons for more fun.

Racers is such a hard one to define as a class (as I already tweeted), but hey, it's hard to even divide the categories well. I'd call Overdrive and Super Cars top-down, but I also feel Skidmarks and Super Offroad should go in that class too, though they're not strictly top-down.
