Thanks to @wtfuf and friends, I found the source 2-pager by Amanda Conner on p326-327 of I HATE IT HERE from Transmetropolitan Book Two. The world-weary side eye is what makes the magic happen, but boy that printed page looks so much better than the digital copy:
