You can hold 2 power-ups. While you have to go exploring to find some of them, they're plentiful and you CAN just whiz through the levels, there's lots of choice for how you want to play. Really liked the Knight and Mage power-ups.

Concept art for Wormhole City. Many different vehicle levels were cut during development, gfx and gameplay were disjointed and controls confused players. Hope to come back to some of these ideas 1 day.

In other news, anyone playing Mario Maker 2? I finally got around to making a couple levels yesterday. Neither are particularly groundbreaking and both are pretty short (though one is a bit easier and the other very hard), but I hope you'll check 'em out if you're able to. ^_^

For starters most of the series new direction was resting so much on Damian's character arc which failed on multiple levels.
The reasons for him starting the new direction was a family business getting attacked. You can't introduce them same issue and expect an audience reaction.
