soo... I wanted to do the artstyle copying thing and try to mimic 's style but.. it kinda devolved into something entirely different
I think i might just use this style for like chibi drawings and little doodles

I don't like people blurring the line of reference and mimick
how you use a reference will determine how you grow as an artist. are you learning the shapes or are you just copying line for line? the more you learn forms the more likely you will be able to freehand and experiment

Thank you everyone who threw in suggestions~! 💖it was a lot of fun~!

I tried painting to try and mimic a 3d style to match the game, i don't think i succeeded but I still think it turned out cute~!

Pop & Hatty are together!
Pop is the Stick Figure, with the pencil on his back.
Hatty is the Mimic, possessing a beanie.

Hopefully that’s a good amount.^^

Who let the copycats out? New page in the bestiary! The mimic was practically the whole reason I wanted to start doing this project, like the kobold. Really love these designs, but I think the stormwalker will stand as my personal favorite for the whole project.

Did a side-by-side redraw of a sketch I did back from college! I’m experimenting with different ways to mimic watercolors in digital media.....I feel like this test is a little too neat, but it was still fun to experiment!

People give Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood so much hate but its actually pretty fun. Its my favorite Sonic game yes even with its flaws, the art style is something I wanna be able to mimic someday.

Concept art from how Joseph looked before corruption. He can still probably mimic this form. I had a lot of fun designing it! Since he previously had the task of guiding souls to the afterlife, I figured it would be fitting to go for a theme like radiance & light.

Spectoey and Opakespiel. (some pronounce the o, some say it's silent.)

When full grown they are SO good at playing dead... that even Death is convinced! They are the best actors in the Pokemon world. Able to mimic anyone they see, and recite anything Normal/ghost artby
