Even focusing only on Sonic, Tails, and Amy, as is they don't have enough character development to benefit from getting enemies. They don't have motives past, "beat bad guy", no personal character conflicts, or currently have any traits that warrant a villain to push them on.

This piece is done. Heavily symbolic, and meaningful to myself, this is a metaphor for the challenges, heartbreak, and pain I've experienced in my life, and how I've emerged stronger and emboldened to push forth without defeat.

I can relate. Its a constant push-pull between the fear of isolation & the anxiety of interaction. The fear that you're bothering people unless you have something 'worthwhile' to contribute.
