Artists such as Sara Owens were meant to be taking part in Open Studios Cornwall 2020 from the 23rd - 31st May. This public event, like so many nationwide, had to be postponed until autumn. Here is an example of Sara’s work, and we look forward to visiting her studio when we can.

West of Lemorna Cove in is The Mermaid's Rock. Before storms at sea, a mermaid would sing, and all along the shore, the spirits echoed her in low voices. Those that followed her voice were never seen again...

In Zennor, Cornwall, a mermaid would attend St Senara's Church to sing with the choir, although the villagers were unaware of her aquatic identity then. The "Mermaid Chair" where she sat can still be seen today. She soon caught the ear of the churchwarden's son
