This scene is rather soured in hindsight by the fact that Nia goes back on her request for Brainy to be "fully himself" with her less than two episodes later. Calling him by his real name feels like an empty gesture now, because she doesn't actually like him for who he really is.

i loved the storyline with knuckles in the desert with these big weird laputa-esque robots! in hindsight even calling them laputa-esque is sort of a disservice to the uniqueness of their design. everything in the world had this gorgeous watercolory volume to it.
