There is so many false information about this painting, Delacroix didn't represent the French revolution of 1789 but the one of July 1830.

Beep beep. It's Gericault's birthday. So that means we remember the Raft of the Medusa, of course. Probably the most exciting picture in the Louvre, as well as one of the biggest. Mind you the sketches for it are even scarier. So I've thrown in one of his horses as a balm.
