I have decided to make the push and create a base avatar from Wuffwick. Just finished re-mapping the UVs and hope to have more soon as I test the capacity of the base model. Stay tuned for progress!

If anyone has been curious about how I've been setting up the led mappings and placement of the objects this should help. I have a 2d object and the virtual leds are rotated in space like the panels in the pics, then I set the look direction of the leds to align with the Z-axis
