40. The restaurant's reputation was deserved: How fashionable it was! What an exquisite and fun feast the girls had!
When Paige was asking for the bill, a man moved closer to her table and, gallantly, he offered to pay the bill for the bald lady.
39. Because of the great increase in her bookstore´s earnings, Paige could afford some luxuries: a cool dress, an elegant necklace, fancy heels...
She even invited Mira to lunch in the most acclaimed and expensive restaurant in the town in order to thank the girl for her help.
Its been way to long since i drew Paige. I really miss drawing them
38. To make things even better, her customers spread the word of Paige's new hairstyle, so a lot of people who didn't know her bookstore became interested in the pretty bald lady and her business, so she made a lot of money and got a bigger clientele.
37. She didn't expect by any means the good reception her new look had between them: elderly and young people, men and women... 80% of them liked it and complimented her and even stood up for Paige if someone said something pejorative to her.
36. The next morning, Paige opened her bookstore as usual, but with one novelty for her regular customers: she didn't wear a wig anymore, so her bald head was perfectly visible.
35. Such praises eliminated any hesitations from Paige's head and she enjoyed the meeting during hours, something that she hasn't done since colleague.
Due to all this, when she was returning at her home, Paige decided, overexcited, went one step beyond with her new lifestyle.
33.Ten minutes later, Paige and Mira joined the friends of the second one.
All of them lost their mind when they met the bald female and flattered Paige so lovely and kindly.
32. "Hey, I have a meeting with some friends... Do you want to come? Mira proposed.
Paige, so much relaxed than five minutes before, realized that she was attracted by this plan, so she agreed.
31. "I just said you look gorgeous!" Mira answered, smiling. "WOW... What a perfect head you have! Can I touch it?" the girl asked shily.
Paige, so much calmed than before, managed to nod her head, affirmatively.
"It's so smooth!" Mira whispered, delighted.
30. Mira looked at Paige from up to down and, after, she whistled with admiration.
"Paige, you look amazing"! Mira exclaimed.
Paige, still worried and shocked, only could moan a weak "What?"
29. Paige was terrified: What could Mira do to her knowing her secret? Mock her? Bully her? Blackmail her in order to be quiet?
The fear, nervousness and apprehension were killing the bald lady.
28. "Thanks, dude!" Mira thanked sincerely.
But when she was going to leave, suddenly, she stared fixedly at Paige's face.
"Hey, are you ok? Your face is red as a tomato..."
Paige didn't know which way to turn when Mira, incredulous, shouted:
Wait... Paige... is that you?!
... Mira, an old friend from college, moved directly to her.
"Excuse, dude, what time is it?" she asked politely.
Paige was in shock: a little mistake and she would be recognized and all her farce would be discovered!
So Paige said, with the best deep and manly voice: "5:15".
26. This time Paige disguised herself not like a shy and sensitive boy, but like some kind of rude and self-confident skinhead lad.
She was enjoying the experience, with the girls looking at her half suspicious, half intrigued, when, from nowhere...
25. Paige felt so turned on thinking about her little secret that she couldn't wait to walk across her city, in male disguise, to show off her good-looking head while tricking the pedestrians.
22. Curiously, Paige wasn't afraid of how she would look after the haircut (she still had her useful wig just in case). Instead, she was just curious and... even glad of herself for the step beyond?
Finally, she buzzcut her already short hair.
20. Neither: too similar to a peacock and Paige didn't like hairspray...
But... What about a short pixie?
15. During the next few days, Paige went to work with a wig. She was visibly nervous every time she talked to a customer, friend or familiar, afraid of them realizing she was wearing a false mane... but none of them found the truth of her strange behaviour.
