One of the many weird objects that can be found in Icara's curiosity cabinet. An amphisbaena preserved in a receptacle that is somewhere between a reliquary and a formaldehyde jar.

It all started with a rider and his horse caving in somewhere there at Zöbingen - and after the horse was pulled up with sticks and a lot of effort ... the hole revealed a '#Totenbaum' (treetrunk coffin), well preserved bones, gold, and "apples which looked still fresh".
@Darea_Cosplay @Goji_Saurus @TheTierZoo Yes but the quill knobs, preserved wings in basal forms (microraptor), and preserved wings in more derived forms (zhenyuanlong)definitely had wings and the “raptor” shown here is decades behind what we currently think of dromaeosaurs
