For the 4* ER spears, Prototype Starglitter > Favonius Lance as Starglitter has a better effect.

Skyward Spine

Its effect is pretty nice, 8% crit and the 40% atk dmg dealt as vacuum blades every 3s, but unfortunately its sub is energy recharge. Zhongli's burst only takes 40 energy to activate, so getting a dedicated ER spear is almost pointless. However it does have high-

PJS: Its sub is crit% so it is easy to build around, but it also has the ramp up needed for better damage (and at 7 stacks vs VV's 5 stacks). No shield strength. But it also has an added 12% total damage at max stacks, which compensates the missing 49.6% ATK of a lvl90 VV.

Vortex Vanquisher vs Primordial Jade Spear

VV: Zhongli's motif weapon. Who doesn't want this on him? Its sub is ATK%, however, so building him with decent crit/dmg may be difficult. Its atk increasing effect is similar to PJS, but it has an added 20% shield strength!

Royal Spear is pretty gimmicky. Its sub is ATK%, and the effect stacks your crit by 8% until you get a crit hit, which then it resets all your stacks. Rinse and repeat. So it's very, very RNg based. I'd suggest getting Blackcliff with your starglitter instead.

Lithic Spear has an ATK% sub and an inherent 7% crit + 3% atk in its effects if you have it equipped as Zhongli. Though this spear would theoretically be at its best if you are running a 4 Liyue character team.

this would be the spear for your Zhongli. (Unless you forked out money for Deathmatch).

Deathmatch is a teeny bit better as it has an inherent 16% atk increase (for 1 enemy) and 12% atk and def (for 2 or more). Its sub is CRIT%.

These spears are the easiest to build around!

Crescent Pike is by far the best spear for physical focused DPSes and is only outdamaged by 5* spears. Its effect (atk% bonus damage on hit after picking up an elemental particle) can have a 100% uptime and it can CRIT, effectively increasing your DPS.

White Tassel has a crit% and a good effect, hence why I prefer this to Halberd. Halberd has an atk% as its sub.

Black Halberd only deals more damage to slimes, and its sub is HP%

An arbok that was caught before the first trial, and was weirdly helpful throughout most of the game. He didn’t stay on the team to the e4 and champion, but he helped a lot with catching pokemon and not getting crit (he had battle armor).
