My poor attempt at a partial fursuit ref. I would of worked a lot harder if it wasn‘t my reference, but it’s enough for me.
I’m done duct taping the head so now I just have to draw the patterns.

Four random ones off the top of my head: Courage the Cowardly Dog for its surrealist horror. Tron Uprising and its super stylish take on Tron's world. Samurai Jack for also being stylish and its paper cut-out look. And Chowder, it made great use of color and patterns.

these are all very old examples unfortunately, but the principle is the same: a lot of the shadowing between the bricks and the pillars in the first example along with all of the texturing on the central wall on the second example is achieved using these dither patterns. now...
