Also, I know it sounds obvious but the hours you put into a drawing does pay off.
The Xantia Coupe concept took 2 hours
The Triumph Dolomite took 20 hours
The Citroen DS took 40-45 hours
The Porsche 917 took 60+ hours

The plus side of staying up late is you can have some quiet time to practice with other software. This is my first stab at using #adobefresco for anything other than just scribbling. This little spot #illustration started as a doodle and just kept going.
Though I gotta say, I think half the level-up factor was software. Up until march 2019, I used a rather broken version of SAI. It had maybe six brushes.
Getting my mitts on Clip Studio changed my LIFE, as again exampled here with two drawings days apart in different programs
