Zima Blue was directed by Robert Valley () who is a ridiculously underappreciated luminary of contemporary animation. You prob already know his work from Aeon Flux and The Gorillaz, but he also does incredible personal projects. He's one of the best animators alive!

That's not exactly good animation. Is a good use of limited animation, but fandom says that this is one of most well animate fights of Gintama. Not at all.
