I started this with the intention to see if I could work on this comic with monochromatic colors and I figured that if I'm gonna tone skin, I might as well do it in color 😁
This piece is a little rushed. Wanted to get this out in time for Christmas, but I ended up having less time than I originally thought. My original intention was to draw 2B dressed in a Santa costume and 9S in a reindeer costume. But I only had time to draw 2B.

JANUARY:
I was inspired by the item designs of Soulsborne games so I decided to craft some of my own, in a similar style, even including some intentionally vague item descriptions
The idea was to make them look as mysterious as possible like its true intended purpose is unknown

Ignoring the existence of one insanely irritating character (looking at you Phoney) the cast of characters is so fun to follow on their journey, from the well-intentioned Fone Bone to the mighty Gran'ma. It's hard not to love the cast even as it grows with each passing volume.
i designed naexi's older brother tonight: meet iefyr. he thinks his sister's choice to pursue bar work rather than the family tradition of hunting is Bad, but most evenings, he will escort her back to their family home in a nearby town. he is over-protective but well intentioned!
The intention of the final sprites is to have more realistic proportions and more visual consistency, but I'm generally happy.
