You know what I've just began to realize? A lot of media from the late 90s and early 2000s took a lot of inspiration from monster flicks and horror movies of the 30s-50s. While most of the 2010s and the 2020s seemingly replaced that inspiration with Anime influences.

In hindsight, it's really funny that Bart Simpson was considered a delinquent, bad influence, etc. He wasn't doing violent crimes or dealing narcotics. At worst, he spray-painted "El Barto" on things lmao. Not to mention he always had a good heart and learned from his mistakes.
