Guys I just found out that Piston Hurricane and Aran Ryan are the only SPO palette swaps who have different fall/get up animations, meaning it was a conscious decision to give Aran a fat fucking ass and not give the same to Hurricane. Do with this information what you will.

I got more of an Aardman Animations vibe from the faces, but there's definitely a HUGE palpable anime influence on Turning Red! It looks like Ranma x Totoro x How's Moving Castle and much more. I wouldn't be surprised if Toriyama was an influence!
