If you have to start putting an ugly watermark all over your work to help by all means do it!

What i do with commissions is i put an overlay that says COMMISSION DO NOT USE and i find it helps!

Also i reduce the side of the image when i post online

Simply love this, specially your hair and armor. If I may suggest, you could give that gem a bit more of a crystal aspect only using a few white shapes/gradients with Overlay Effect, and one blurred purple circle with Add effect. Also, you should probably adjust the gem position
