Many robots are short for having a lower center of gravity, being less expensive, and being less "intimidating" to humans. Ruppets make themselves cute for their own sake, though.

You know what partially sucks about Mecha genre?
Its only known as "Giant Robots duking out" for the longest years and i never seen any other Mecha Animes/Mangas that at least similar to Tetsuwan Atom/Astro Boy, you mostly see them on Games instead like Megaman series.
