@thegnarlyghost I mean the edges looks allmost like watercolors. Do you use chromatic abberation or do you blend them somehow? In any case, it looks really good.

A lot of cell shading looks really bad, and I think I've at least partly figured it out. 2D puts shadows strategically around the edges of the figure, which accents the main features, and gives depth. Cell shading often cuts halfway across the figure in a really ugly way.

Hedge in his natural form that's similar to sonic and his tails form aka Fox he can shift in between the two very well even shift his height to match tails in that form too.

Possibly helpful artist tip: If you hide the outline and the filler color and can still tell what the drawing is and where the edges are, you've shaded correctly
