Drawing underrated prehistoric animals 5/?: Dicynodon, a therapsid from the Upper Permian period. They are rather well-known, but I love these potato creatures so much I don't think they receive enough love.
The long awaited finale to my last #dragon design batch I ran: Hypothermia!
It's the middle of the night, but heck I just really want to post it plus now it's spookier. This one was for @DarkwoodDreams

i listened to last night's audio because it's really short so here's a chenille wrapped in a blanket avoiding hypothermia drinking rosé straight from the bottle and getting every single answer right in 2 truths and a lie
Say hello to FRE☆KY Doge Studios' offical mascot, Sobëk~! She is a Late Permian proto mammal, Inostrancevia Gorgonopsia dubbed with the coolest nick name of Wolf of the Permian
Icon by this cool dude @Bish0nenPrince
Drawing underrated prehistoric animals 3/?: Cotylorhynchus, a big synapsid from the Permian era. It’s a very round friend with a tiny little head, and I don’t think this drawing does the teeny tiny head justice…

For #FossilFriday I am opening a thread about Early Triassic tetrapod faunal assemblages. After the Permian extinction, terrestrial faunal assemblages were depauperate and most were very similar in composition. Temnospondyls were quick to diversify #paleoart #sciart #scicomm
haven't drawn anything that wasn't a storyboard revision in days here's a super quick hermia
Inostrancevia, probably the most commonly depicted Permian gorgonopsid. I did this fairly quickly, mostly just to experiment with integument. The loose, almost sketchy rendering is supposed to be kind of tough, kind of wrinkly skin with some hairs/bristles #paleoart
Chroniosuchus is an extinct reptiliomorph from the upper Permian of Russia. It reached 1.5 metres long.
