Funny enough, my artistic influence never came from anime or manga. It came from SoulCalibur, Tekken, and Virtua Fighter. These influences later expanded to Metal Gear Solid, NieR and other games as well.

My Artistic influencers would mainly be Takuji Kawano ( Example art )
