Next, I added more texture on top of the transparency with an emission map that I used a nice cloud brush for. The glitter in the jelly/transparency will also only appear in these clouds, and we'll use it as the glitter mask. (2/5)

Technically yes, but the 4th color is transparency. Some games got around this limitation though.
In Mega Man for example, his face is a completely separate sprite from his body. This does cause more flicker/slowdown depending on how many sprites are on screen at once, though.

Second, but certainly not least, we have some steppies, featuring Rae's sick kicks! Also trying out a new stomping effect on impact! Transparency doesn't transfer over well, but I have a plan for future emotes to allow a smoother fade-out.
