Some exceptions: Peg-Leg Pete is a cat. Horace and Clarabelle are a horse and cow. But basically outside of mice and ducks, everyone else is a humanoid-dog thing. They had to take the simplistic 1920s Mickey cartoons filled with barnyard animals and put some sense of logic to it.

Another one of my hunters as a beast! Yseult's a cow. One of her horns weighs her head down + every so often she bashes it into the ground. After enough hits she holds her head in agony and juts out her back bones, which you can attack for a lot of damage.
