The Batman: The Animated Series episode "Riddler's Reform" debuted on this day 25 years ago, Sept. 24, 1994. This is probably my favorite Riddler episode and John Glover performance in the entire series. He just nails it.

The Batman Beyond episode “Splicers,” its second season premiere, debuted 20 years today. Undoubtedly pushing the limits, this shocking episode was riddled with horrific mutations and a climactic fight clearly inspired by the classic Akira.

“Batman: Gotham Adventures” while primarily a character study on Catwoman, is also a riveting, tense read. The scene toward the end, when Catwoman reaches her breaking point, hits like a ton of bricks and it's just heartbreaking.

Continuing to revisit Batman: The Animated Series' first week of programming on Blu-ray with "Feat of Clay, Part 2," which debuted Sept. 9, 1992. The animation is stunning and it's easily the best looking episode of the whole series!

Continuing to revisit the Batman: The Animated Series episodes that debuted during its first week back in 1992 now on Blu-ray. Yesterday was Sept. 7, so it was "Heart of Ice." It remains THE most distinguished episode for good reason.

Giving Warner Archive's () fantastic HD Remaster "Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero" Blu-ray another spin tonight. This cool flick has never looked better! Speaking of which, the HD remaster hits DC Universe on Sept. 3!

Revisiting the first episode of Static Shock this morning and, all told, it's a solid debut for the series. The character work and subject matter, especially for Virgil, really hits hard, the gags work and the cliffhanger is aces.

On this day back in 2000, Kids'WB! aired the Batman Beyond episode "Ace in the Hole." It's a moving and at times tough-to-watch episode that reveals the origin of Ace, Bruce's canine companion. The last scene, with Bruce and Ace, gets me every time.

Revisiting "The Zeta Project" this morning, specifically the Batman Beyond crossover and the series finale. A heckuva solid series that, to this day, remains overlooked despite its interesting role in the DCAU.

Looking to start the day with something upbeat, and the Static Shock episode "Future Shock" fits the bill. Time travel, multiple Batmen, multiple Statics and some solid humor, this episode is just piles of fun.

Keeping with the whole western thing for a bit longer, this time with the Batman: The Animated Series episode "Showdown." You know, the episode with Jonah Hex and Ra's Al Ghul. And the one where Robin fights ... kinda dirty.

Bringing it back to Batman Beyond for the super brutal second season episode “Blood Sport.” It’s a great first appearance for the Kraven The Hunter-esque foe Stalker and is easily one of the more intense installments of the classic series!

Sitting down to spin the Batman: The Animated Series episode “Love is a Croc.” While it can’t quite stick the landing, the episode has a solid, legitimately interesting premise. Plus, the Baby-Doll/Killer Croc pairing is pretty genius.
