6. Leave the lighting for last/ do it on separate layers

It's much easier to color using your regular base colors then adding your lighting than trying to get the right blue for the skintone,
multiply and overlay your colors and add highlights and reflections after!

Tested this on my OC,
the better the artwork the worse the render, the more doodly the artwork the neater the render
exept the middle one, full detail pencil work:v

weird things: his eyes are brown but it insists its green or grey, it also lightened his skintone a lot

AND HERES the unedited versions of the sasha-lorelei edit. sasha and lorelei's skintones matched really well, so i didnt have to do much editing there. i just had to fix clipping issues.

A successful colouring practice with a Diablos from my Academy of Men idea. I felt that soft shading works with the reference I used here because the contrast in values weren't so dramatic. The green skintone helps loads because I don't have to deal with human undertones lol
