Alright, Term 5 is off to a good start. Current results for the Hero Shape and Silhouette process. Next is refining these, expression chart, turnarounds and breakdowns.
not quite there yet but slowly getting to a silhouette that im satisfied with for this character...
With the switch to full 3D in Gen 6+7 cel-shading was utilized. The tufts of fur on the model blended into Beartic's solid colors while the black outlines utilized them for silhouettes.
Gen 8's subtler outlines and softer color blends made the tufts a bit more noticeable. (2/3)

I tried to keep the silhouette about the same? Also tentacle pomp because come on. (I'd imagine the octopus tentacles are like the blue ring octopus since the rings sorta look like they glow.)

I'm satisfied with 🔵⚓️'s Season 3 costume design, he has the acutest silhouette of the Sugarcane gang (like Jafar in Disney) which makes him look like a sinister slim sorcerer, but at the same time I think he has much upper body strength which matches the features of his Mech
Update on the hair, managed to bake the curly locks onto cards and currently placing them! Trying to get as much 'flatness' out of the silhouette as possible, but it is quite a challenge🥴Will be adding some curly ribbons to help a bit with that
This year, I really want to try and push new boundaries with my art. Adding more details to my silhouettes is one of them. Another is creating more original art.
