I guess to an extent i have this same issue with anthro animals too where 90% of the time i draw them more realistically with clear thighs, calves and toes/feet. But a younger me always just simplified them and maybe sometimes that looks better? its certainly easier... IDK

Here's how Baiken would look if she had more realistically sized hands. Not as cool! I'm sure a lot of folks looking at this side by side might prefer the image on the right. But for gameplay purposes it wouldn't read as well. Her attacks wouldn't feel as powerful or legible!
