On to laying in some colours and rendering. You can see the colour swatches around the painting. This is something I do a lot when I'm painting. When I'm all zoomed in and mixing colours it can be helpful to have an original colour reference ot go back to and pull from.

Color studies are essential for my process now. I can easily, without any pressure get closer to the vision in my head without getting lost in details or rendering.

I stayed away from doing them for interior pages because I thought it would "save time"... That was a stupid idea.
