Something I really liked about "Feels Good Man" as well was a moment in the middle where they bring up this kids book Matt Furie wrote, The Night Riders. This part of the movie really hit me hard because it really put the humanity behind who created Pepe.

I should expand. Heavy Gear was a big robots game with a singular vision; T8 is a uniquely heady-spirituality (*very* 90s but it's OK) post-apocalypse w/Clive Barkerish monsters that had enslaved humanity and had been fought off but were tbh still *far* too near.
