Moon Patrol
One of the first videogames with parallax scrolling, Moon Patrol is visually very impressive for 1982. A combination of driving & shooting set in space (ticking all the arcade game boxes there!) it's tricky initially but great fun.
Interesting moment of reflection for me. Working on stuff together with @StephenLarsen_ and @TuncerSensei. 3 versions of essentially the same character idea through time:

This is potentially a series of pieces I create based on speedrun routes for Pokemon, it's been a while since I've done a series of pieces and thought it would be good for livesplit BGs too. Here's a timelapse as well!
But they used what they had where it counted. They essentially played dungeons and dragons with the audience, using inferences, lore crumbs, and stone-faced sincerity to invite the audience to fill in the holes with their imaginations.
