my advice is yes definitely take that old art you wasn't satisfied with and overpaint it until it slaps

Played around with something more dynamic. Eventually I'll get used to foreshortening perspective in future drawings, but I personally am satisfied with the outcome.

Shading hair is still really difficult for me to feel out properly or be satisfied with. It's really time consuming... Maybe I should move on with coloring and come back to this later so I don't get stuck on one thing
