Also!! While non canon the animation “until you come to me” submitted your an animation expo was produced by the storyboarders and animators for the Rebuild series, and is absolutely littered with references to it being a time loop.

Fun thing, when we originally made the storyboards for the animated intro, Paper Bowser was supposed to be placed where Smough and Ornstein stand now. This was a pretty late change, so late in fact that Bowser already was fully drawn and animated, so have a bit of unused content:

In Orianna's storyboard is what appears to be Corin Reveck or Vaido Violante (Creator of the ATLAS gauntlets) due to the more similarity with this to their conceptual art on the Universe page, unless they used that design as a placeholder for Corin Reveck in the sketch
