I basically just traced the composition and and tried to eyeball the colors and block them out, and just had some fun with the textures.
I might do one of these studies weekly for the rest of summer, idk. just experiment with styles i'm interested in and switch it up

Did you know that my model is basically just plain colors which rely on real-time shadows for the shading? That is correct, I suck at texture shading so I just rely on normal edited shadows and 99% of my details are modeled and not textured (R.I.P. Poly count).

I add the majority of the textures and details in this last step. I finalize the frog render, and add the fish scales, hair, flowers, and final highlights.
