As for why I committed to these stylised ears in the first place...

It's The Owl House. I borrowed from how The Owl House stylises ears. That show has really made me feel more comfortable with drawing simpler stylised art in general.

I really love the unique "organic" feel to your stuff, the pale colors, makes the portraits of each character look more... Bleak, dull, and numb. And in a way, mysterious. I really like it.
