I don't usually play VNs but holy hell was this a fun ride. I feel like it helped to fill the void I still ultimately want Sonic Team to fulfill with a more "extended cast" centric story before making a new mainline game.

The first extra act in AoUK, Act 5, features good friends of mine as fictitious characters in the game. Act 5 and 6 aren't canon to the game's lore, but back when I made this game I felt like it could use a little more playtime. (+)

So the new Sonic game.... is pretty cool!
Definitely recommend playing it, though try using windowed mode rather than fullscreen, the minigames would probably play out better that way.
