My chibis are a lot more detailed than the minis, especially in terms of lineart and shading. The minis have simple eyes too. I also offer backgrounds for chibis, but not minis (examples below)

One could say "Oh, they just have to remove the modified artwork", but that was the point. Redrawing the backgrounds like so is far and away a much greater effort than upscaling and cropping (as a previous HD mod did) or pillarboxing (which the current devs suggest on discord)2/x
