First episode of SPT Layzner is one hell of a tone setter.

Between combat armors, AT's, panzers and now manipulator suits, I love how unique Ryosuke Takahashi's mecha move.

Manipulators are similar to Zeta Gundam mobile suits but they have a drift and turn radius all their own.

I would still move to see X not only get weapon data from a maverick but also armor data as well. It would e cool to see the designs, and now armors would help/make boss fights harder.

That's true but tbf, monhun never really tried to look practical, except for maybe the starting gear. Most armors make you look like robutts, most weapons are tails, monster heads, claws or just straight up mecha shit. Imo it's the appeal. For me personally, this is peak monhun:
