Sketches and notes from a funny idea I came up with after thinking about the cultural influences and inspirations behind my childhood animes.
I call them the Anime Club Otherfolk.
Some of my favorite artists are in this show, Mexican Modernism at @PDXArtMuseum Jose Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros are big influences in my work.

Funny enough, my artistic influence never came from anime or manga. It came from SoulCalibur, Tekken, and Virtua Fighter. These influences later expanded to Metal Gear Solid, NieR and other games as well.
My Artistic influencers would mainly be Takuji Kawano ( Example art )

Style #4: Art Nouveau, my choice, because Mucha is one of the only influences that others have ever actually attributed to my work. That said, I only enjoy the style a normal amount and I'm lukewarm on this one :P
