So I've recently heard Sonic Adventure era fans criticize the designs of the Wisps and Zeti saying they look out of place in the Sonic universe. As someone who was introduced to the series through the Classic era, I remember a time when Big the Cat and the Chao looked unusual.

Final assignment in my Sequential Arts class! We had a choice between sci-fi or fantasy, so I took the opportunity to draw some ocs. The last two pages had to be colored and are messily unfinished, but I enjoyed drawing this out! The blue fire wisps were really fun.🗡️🔥

Wanted to experiment with the Rise of the Wisps Artstyle.

Sonic was really hard to draw somehow lmao

More Nyx art?? After ages?? It’s more likely than you think.
Some practice on the lineless art we saw in the preview for Sonic Colors Rise of the Wisps! Linless art is the bane of my existence but I’ve got an edit I’d like to do. 👀👀
