Every time I write off John Singer Sargent for being all about superficial drapery and sleeping with his subjects, I come across a painting of his like this...THE MOSQUITO NETS (1908) at has wispy visible brushstrokes making the image seem very spontaneous.

Interestingly, much of the artwork we're adding will have almost a classic, painterly feel to it (we like to say that Jesse is busy painting "unhappy little trees"). We think that combination of soft brushstrokes and clean, modern layout is a very powerful overall look.

Superdooper closeup - I love seeing art up close, you can see all the marker strokes
and little hidden textures!

Copic Sketch markers, pink Multiliner, and Copic Opaque White for the highlights (and cool brushstroke texture!) on Blending Card

Painting is all about decision making; each brushstroke changes the work - for better or worse. It is ready? I can’t decide.

The Fairy by Dominique Amendola https://t.co/jlTWpKfByp
This is painted from the life model in painterly colorful, broad, vivacious brushstrokes. This fantasy figure right out of a fairytale dressed in violet poses as a beautiful fairy. Please Retweet!

11. Everything great about fantasy horror is captured in the work of Nephelomancer. There's a feeling of grandiosity in every one of their pieces, each brushstroke is dripping with talent and their grasp on lighting and colour is exceptional

Completely forgot to post this!

Mine is on the left, is on the right!

Did a master study to understand brushstroke techniques and eyeballing colours for a class assignment. We got to choose an artist and choose any of their work then replicate them as best as possible.

Snow Queen making a Snow Flake. Oldie from when I first started digital painting. I was drawn to vivid colours and expressive brushstrokes rather than an 'airbrush' approach from the start. Winter vibes.#fantasyart

Somewhere in this flurry of Manet’s brushstrokes is Bob the Dog (1876). Variously described as a ‘Chien Griffon’ or Cairn Terrier, Bob probably belonged to Manet’s friend Jean-Baptiste Faure, opera singer & art patron (The Ann and Gordon Getty Collection) https://t.co/6HSthh4le0

Jamel Akib delivered 8 paintings on Friday, and barely had time to print the labels before a lovely collector bought these 3 corkers - now that's cool...!

Mary Chaplin's paintings are nature-inspired and painted with vivid colors, energized brushstrokes and a sense of poetry. They resonate a joyful celebration of life. https://t.co/ZUpYqcobcP

Thge opening sequence of Mimi and the Mountain Dragon needed to be in a painterly brushstroked style to suggest illustrations in a storybook as the pages flipped through. Here are a handful of those paintings...
