I don't get why Sonic Team/SEGA likes making Sonic's arms and legs bend like he has joints rather than making his limbs curvy.

I like it with rounded elbows/nees that bend like a twizzler much more tbh- sorry if my examples/wording aren't the best.

I need to practise with knees, joints, and stuff like that... does anyone have any tips? I'm still improving. Last pic was pretty nice, though it took lots of effort. Main basis on melowh's pic, but also looked at other pics of anime girls laying down and stuff.

Unlike the first version, I wanted to make sure to include twist joints and such so that that all the movements of the character made sense for their limits.

Also, the values for the metal are fighting each other. The white and silver are too close in value and thus they don't seperate well, yet the secondary body tone is too dark and gives way to the silver. So I'm trying to push the body plates up and the joints down.

If you can directly apply lube to their joints then that also means they can trap rain, dust, dirt and debris. This requires additional maintenance and also reduces operational lifespan.
