There's something absurdly alluring & unique in the portrayal of masculinity & opulence in works by Leyendecker. A timeless quality to the paintings coming from crack of dawn of 1900s.
Over the past few days of the week, I did master studies of two of my influences in portraiture:
@Istebrak1
and JC Leyendecker (well, I love his drapery too so I snuck some of that in here. lol)
Learnt a ton from this exercise.
Torn between doing a Leyendecker color art study and making Ace Attorney fanart so I did both 🤷♀️

Blitzo's steed, let him ride. (Ref for this was one of Leyendecker's portraits of George Washington on a horse cause I can't draw horses too well on my own ;w;) #HelluvaBoss #HelluvaBossBlitzo #Blitzo #fanart #HelluvaBossfanart

🖌️Got to work on Punishers new profile picture! It turned out so good with the new coloring style I tried. 😊 It gives J.C Leyendecker vibes👀 :P
Hope you guys love the art support is appreciated 💙✌️🍻
I’ve been wanting to do another Leyendecker study/redraw for ages, so here’s some fancy lads as a final contribution to #IronqrowWeek! Leaning into the old-timey formalwear fits pretty well with the general vibe of Atlas. Also their matching colour schemes? Love that. #Ironqrow
old art but I like them... leyendecker inspired egyptian gods ⚖️🫀☀️ #artistsontwitter #artshare
@andiegyanko Yeah, Leyendecker is great! He draws kids being cute without it being saccharine. I think the way he draws gangly limbs helps exaggerate the pose to look more childlike
