Noko" is the shortened form of the Japanese word, "Tsuchinoko," which is a Japanese cryptid that resembles a snake. 'Tsuchinoko' translates to "child of the hammer/dirt" and some even say that they can speak and are good liars 0_0 Thankfully Yo-Kai noko's are a lot nicer (^ω^ )

also!! according to the Yo-Kai Watch Wiki, "The 'Koma' part of his name stems from the word Komainu (Lion dog)." Komainu are noble statues found in sacred areas of japan and are meant to prevent dark spirits from entering holy sites.

Additionally, he's from the country which can be heard from his accent. He can also transform into a human when putting a leaf on his head (similar to tanuki)! Overall, Komasan is a shy but friendly Yo-Kai who loves exploring the city with his brother, Komajiro. (ﾉ´ヮ`)ﾉ
