Every once in a while I have to rewatch Terry Gilliam’s wonderful “Adventures of Baron Munchausen.”
Perhaps my most rewatched of Gilliam’s films (nudging out the equally wonderful “Time Bandits”), it’s the perfect encapsulation of Gilliam’s themes of imagination versus cynicism.

Watching it again with future knowledge really made me get some things better than the first time, and the English cast really impressed me in their characters, especially Diva and Matsumoto.
The latter even talk less fast but still gave that impression

It's a show steeped in heavy symbolism for everything (the director does that with all his projects), so I didnt get most of it back when I watched it . I should rewatch it sometime.
